Something That Happened This Week-First Person/Passive Voice

Many different things have happened to me this week. My younger brother’s football game was the most exciting. The game was watched by my family and I, as well as the other player’s families. It was a very hot day, so fans, ice, and cool clothes kept us comfortable.

The sound of hurried feet running busily all throughout the house awakened me. New clothes, brushed teeth, and hair, and a calming shower got me all ready for the day. This work was done just in time, for my mother came rushing up the stairs to awake me just as my door opened.

The drive to my brother’s football took about half an hour. My brother’s team is called Mount Juliet Bears. Their colors are black and gold, but they wear white sometimes. The position for him on his team is safety.

The game was very fun, but as I said before it was extremely hot. Safety suits my brother well, and he is very good at it. His team did great too, but several touchdowns, and a big hit on one of his teammates were saved by Ian. As a result of their hard work and pushing through the heat of that day led to the victory of that game. I am so proud of how well he and his team did that day.

Lunch and ice cream was bought and enjoyed by our family after the game. A giant, double scoop, delicious, chocolate cake cone with sprinkles awaited me as we walked into the ice cream building. Everyone in our family said it was the best ice cream we all had ever had.

That day was very fun and exciting, and I am so glad I got to tell you about it. I can not wait for my brother’s football game next week! I have full confidence that he will do excellent!
