Overcoming an Impossible Task

I have been reading the book, Wulf the Saxon by G. A. Henty, and in the book, they are trying to find a solution for how to attack and win a castle and how to keep the castle afterwards. For my assignment, I will explain what I would do when I have a problem.

Usually, when I have a problem I will find one of my parents. An example when I break something that I cannot or do not know how to fix, like a mirror. These are usually with bigger problems. I will also go to them when I find something broken or out of place that I did not do, or for advice on any smaller problem I have.

Other times, when I have a small decision to make, like trying to find a Halloween costume, Christmas gift, or even what to wear for that day, I will ask for help from my siblings. It sometimes depends on whether it is my sister or brother, and/or what my problem is but they usually give pretty good advice.

I also have problems that I can fix myself, like when my dresser drawer handle fell off, I can easily put it back on without going to my siblings or parents for help. In other words, sometimes I can just fix something or decide by myself without having to make a big problem out of it in any way.

There are also occasions where I mess up (in most cases, badly), but I am too scared to tell one of my siblings or parents.

Once, I wore one of my sister’s favorite pairs of earrings without asking first, and the next morning when I woke up, it wasn’t in my ear anymore! I got so scared and told my mother, and she told me to look around in my bed. I did this, but still couldn’t find the missing earring. After a little bit of searching, I started to pray in panic. I asked God that I would be able to find the earring and sneak it back into her room without her noticing it was gone; I did not want to tell her.

The next day I was sitting in my room (I had not found the earring), when my sister knocked and came in with the earring! She said in a confused, but happy tone that she found it on my family’s trampoline. I had forgotten that I was on there doing tricks the day before, and it must have fallen out! I had to tell her that I took the earrings and was wearing them, but to my surprise, she was not angry with me at all!

This showed me that I can always look to God for help, whatever I am doing.

I am very sure that many of these types of scenarios have happened to you too, but this is how I solve my problems. I usually talk to someone about it, but other times, I can fix my problem on my own. There are still other times where I pray and ask God for help, and he does no matter how.
